Summary

Development of visual programming tool 「SmT」 for IoT devices - Achievement report of human resource development with the local community -

In recent years, the development of IoT technology has progressed, but knowledge in a wide range of fields is required, and it is too difficult for beginners. For the further development of IoT, a package that can be easily learned is needed. For this problem Aosasa, a graduate of Matsue National College of Technology, jointly developed 「SmT」 using mruby/c and Smalruby with the local community and conducted a demonstration experiment. As a result of the experiment, there were many beginners who wanted to do it again next time. As SmT brushes up and the mruby / c community grows, more people will choose Ruby for IoT development.
