Samuel Williams is a Ruby core team member and the creator of Falcon, an open source web server which uses fibers for improved concurrency. He is passionate about programming languages and wants to build systems that are both easy to use and scalable by default. When he is not helping companies as a software architect, he enjoys gardening, woodworking, and cooking with his two children.

Scalable Web Applications
Ruby 3 includes a new event-driven fiber scheduler which makes it easy to build highly scalable web applications. We present a practical outline of how you can take advantage of this functionality and analyse the resulting performance.
