In 1994, he completed the master's program at the Department of Mathematical Engineering and Information Physics, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, and joined Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. in the same year. Since 2009, he has also been a visiting associate professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. After working as a senior researcher at the Mitsubishi Research Institute, in 2013, he moved to the Department of Social Informatics, Faculty of Letters, Chuo University, as an associate professor. He has been working as a professor of the same department in 2014. From 2019 he is a professor at the Dept. of Global Informatics, Chuo University. He specializes in user interfaces, open-source software, IT human resource development, data analysis, etc.


Data Science Education using Ruby and Ruby on Rails

At Chuo University, the AI ​​/ Data Science Center was established in April 2020 and promoted university-wide AI/data science (AI / DS) education. Iio, the presenter of this presentation, is a member of the Faculty of Global Informatics, Chuo University, and plays an important part in AI / DS education. In this presentation, the presenter will introduce the outline of past Rails applications developed so far in the context of AI / DS education and report on the purpose and outline of AI / DS education in our laboratory and the university-wide development.
